Hotel booking in Miami was a total chaos, we just could not decide. And the prices were too huge. Finally booked an average hotel in the Downtown for the first night and a better one at the Miami beach for the next.
We were very tired and could not even have proper dinner and just dozed off. The hotel was not bad but we did not like it. The downtown views we saw while travelling were good, here are some we managed to click from the 16th floor.
After a good rest and skipping the free breakfast :-P, we woke up at 11 and had no clue what to do. All we knew was we wanted to hit the beach in the evening. I suggested Everglades National Park and we drove there for the safari. It was good to see but not very interesting. There were alligators alligators all around, there was also a dish of Alligator tail there on the menu.
Now we were more than eager to visit the world famous South beach, it got too crowded when we neared Miami beach and I passed time clicking again.
We paid much for the hotel here but was not very impressive, atleast it was near to the beach. We did some window shopping and headed to the beach and had lots of fun playing in the green waters.
Next, we got ready to check out the night life. We dined at an Indian restaurant, then walked along the beach with some yummy icecream. Let me try and describe that street, one side is the beach with white sand and palms, as serene as it can get, and the other side is very busy with people dining, partying, dancing, singing etc. I loved the contrast.
There is something in the air in Miami, people are very comfortable. I could wear my little black dress without any hesitation. 😀
And here is a video of a dance which attracted many, notice how she moves her hair.
Another video of the Alligator show at the Everglades national park, it is bit long.
