Los Angeles – Day 1

Firstly, a big sorry for being away and not replying to all your posts, will do so soon.

So as you all know we got our driving license and up came a long 3 day weekend. We looked for nearby places of travel with in 3-5 hours of drive, but I guess we covered most of them. The big ones on our list were LA and LV. And in an impulse, we thought of getting done with the LA one. We immediately looked for car rentals, hotels etc and it did not look too expensive, so we made the bookings. Next was to shortlist what to do in 3 days because LA has so much stuff.

I really wanted to update my blog before leaving for the trip but was busy with packing and all. We left early morning at 4.30 to reach our first destination Universal Studios asap, it was fun with clear roads, saw sunrise and reached by 10.30 itself and it was pretty crowded like we expected.

It was so cheery around with people clicking pictures, and some or other random stuff going on. We started with the Studio ride which was informative and very good. We saw the King kong 3D, many locations of movie shots like Psycho, Jaws, etc and some scenes like flood, airplane crash etc. The rides on the upper lot like Shrek 4D, Simpsons ride etc were simple but the ones on lower lot were more intense and we loved the Transformers, Mummy returns, Jurassic Park, House of horrors.

Ok, so I did not dare enter the Haunted house organized at our college and also ran away from the entrance of another haunted house at a mall in Hyderabad, but went into this one holding Ims’ hand firmly. And I’m proud to admit that I could go all the way, it helped that we were not alone but Ims’ wanted to cherish it and was walking slowly and I begged him to rush. Frankenstein scared me the most and there was another person behind a curtain stabbing everybody at the end, and I smartly bent down and crawled my way out. Phew !! 😛

We could do just this the first day and left for our hotel which was an hour away to relax before a whole new day at the Disneyland.

I remember going to the haunted house with PK when we were newly married, all I could remember is I followed PK all the way, holding his hands and keeping my eyes closed and only opening them when we were out in light!! it’s so scary inside no… Oh I also remember some ghost sleeping on the bed, suddenly jumping along with his bed and rushing towards us.. 😦

    • Hey Zarine, welcome here. I think we missed the Sound effects and some Animal one. Yeah, we loved the Transformers one too, did it in the end and were so glad with it. 🙂
